In Hospital

Our 4D/3N at TMC.. Daddy & Mummy check-in to TMC on 13.03.2009 at 12am. Operation is at 8am.. We were on the premium floor of TMC and our super deluxe room is newly renovated.. Mummy couldn't sleep that night as she was nervous..



At around 6am, the nurse came to our room to dress mummy up and prepare her for the operation.. Mummy was pushed to the operating theatre at 7:30am.. Dr Paul Tseng came by to chat with mummy and reassure her that everything is fine.. Dr Kong/GA was also very nice and he keep chatting with mummy to ease her nerve. At 7.55am, mummy knocked off.. and she only hear Dr Kong's voice at 9.00am to wake her up..



The first thing mummy asked when she awake was.. How is baby? Daddy says they are bathing me and will bring her over once it is done.. The moment when mummy see me.. she was so delighted that I'm a healthy little princess..







Mummy was on drip for the day after the c-section.. the drip has got morphine which keep her away from pain.. the nurses take good care of mummy.. changing the drip every 6 hours and measuring her blood pressure and temperature every 2 hours through out the day and night..

Daddy was having a good time.. enjoying the 5 stars facilities (6 meals per day and wireless Internet).. He even went over to the nursery room several times per day just to peep at me..



Mummy has her drip remove a day after the operation and she was given lunch and pain killer.. then mummy tried to stand up and walk around the room.. Surprisingly, mummy did very well..



We have many visitors and gifts from our friends.. Baby Mia was also busy entertaining daddy & mummy's friends..

Daddy & mummy are thankful to everyone at the hospital.. who are so patient, kind and helpful.. and our friends and relatives who call, sms and visited us at the hospital..

Final Count Down... for the arrival of Gorgeous!!

Dr Paul's clinic call and remind us on the operation for tomorrow.. The nurse ask if the ops can be at 7.45am cause Dr Paul got another ops at 7:15am.. so once he complete that one, he can operate on us.. Mummy says cannot as the auspicious timing is between 8am-10am according to grandma and great grandma..

Mummy is going to wash all my bots and sterilize them today :) Daddy will try and knock off early today.. go pick grandma up at the train station.. we will wait for daddy patiently at home and will admit to TMC at 11pm tonight..

Mummy at Home

Mummy has a sharp pain on her tummy on Monday 4am.. She groan very softly but my daddy is so alert that it wake him up.. he was worry and think that mummy should stop going to office.. From today till Thursday, mummy will work from home.. she is grounded and daddy will buy dinner for her every night.. She is not allow to go out or run around :)

My dear mummy haven't even apply for maternity leave and daddy has already got his leave approved from 13 - 20 Mar..

Housekeeping

We did housekeeping today.. In preparation for gorgeous's arrival, daddy set up my playpen.. Mummy made daddy clean up his rubbish and give up one drawer for her.. and Mummy give me 3 more shelf to store gorgeous's stuff.. Mummy also packed her hospital bag and daddy clothes.. Mummy want daddy to stay with her through out the 3 days.. haha!!

Mummy was so pleased and excited that there will be FREE wireless internet access from her room.. She will bring her S10 ideapad.. and even considering if she should bring the Korean DVD so she can watch it..

From next weekend onward, daddy and mummy cannot enjoy 2 people world anymore.. haha!! cause everywhere they go.. they must bring gorgeous along :P

My 10th Appoinment

I'm into my 37 weeks and still breech.. Dr Paul want to try and turn me but it scare daddy & mummy.. Daddy & mummy scream so loud in the room that they are not prepare and was all ready for c-section.. Daddy & mummy didn't want to try as the placenta block my way so there is no point taking that risk..

The date is confirmed 13 March 2009 at 8am.. I'll be 38 weeks+ by then.. We have to admit to TMC between 12am - 5am (at least 3 hours before the operation).. and no food & drink 6 hours before operation.. We will discharge on 16 March, noon..

Daddy & mummy have finally signed up stem cord for me.. Daddy must remember to bring this to hospital.. :)

Baby Fair @ Singapore Expo

Today, we went to take some pictures follow by a visit to baby fair at Singapore Expo..

Daddy and mummy brought more stuffs for gorgeous..

Shopping with Grandma

This morning, mummy had birdnest before going to TMC for regular check up.. After the visit at around 9:20am, daddy and mummy went home to eat the lo mi fan prepared by grandma..

Grandma is here with us from Thur (26/2) to Mon (2/3).. She cooked birdnest, pao sheng, red Korean ginseng and lo mi fan for us.. She also helped to stock up the stuff that will be use for mummy's confinement.. Grandma says many of the stuff that she want cannot be found near our place so we drove to Sheng Song for a tour today..

Grandma got the dry herbs, white rice wine and also doggy brand vinegars..



After lunch at Long House, we went to Robinson and OG in centre point.. Daddy got me a Foogo foods thermo ($46), Pigeon cooling plaster ($4.90) and Pigeon scissor ($11.90) less 25% from Robinson.. Combi fork and spoon ($6.90) less 7% and Pigeon nose cleaner ($4.90) less 15% + 7% from OG..

My 9th Appointment

Sigh...

I'm still in breech position.. according to Dr Paul, the placenta is blocking me from turning.. I'm now in a breech with extended legs (a.k.a frank breech)..



He can do an ECV for mummy at week 37 but he is not going to force it.. It is because of the placenta and I'm mummy's first pregnancy.. the successful rate of ECV might be higher if it is mummy's 3rd pregancy..

Daddy and mummy were given homework to consider about the ECV and vaginal breech delivery over the next 1 week.. He does not want to affect our decision as he will do either the vaginal breech delivery or c-section..

Dr Paul is going on vacation from 20-29March and my EDD is 25Mar so we need to figure out a date for c-section.. It is advisable to do it within the 10days of EDD which is from 15-25Mar.. with Dr Paul's away from 20Mar.. we are left with 15-20Mar.. and grandma has given us the following choice.. 13/3 (Friday 13th?), 15/3 (Sun - probably extra charge?), 19/3 (Dr Paul will perform the operation but will not be able to visit us), 21/3 and 25/3 (too close to EDD and Dr won't be around).. Mummy love to have it on 21Mar as both daddy and mummy are borned on 21st.. The only worry is.. too near to delivery and might get into labour..

Durain

Daddy brought durain for goregous.. Mummy never like to eat durain but for my seek she is taking it.. Mummy wanted to buy the S$5 per packet durain but daddy feel that it is better to get good quality one.. so Mummy will not be scare by the experience.. The D24, Super D24 and Sultan King is selling at S$10 per packet and buy 2 get 1 free.. the XO is at S$28 per packet and buy 2 at S$30. Based on the sales person recommendation, we got 1 packet of XO and 1 packet of super D24 for S$20..

Both are creamy texture and taste sweet.. the XO inital taste a little bitter.. follow by sweetness..

My 8th Appointment

6 more weeks to go..

Today we have decided not to do scan for once.. Dr Paul touched mummy's tummy and I'm still in breech position.. Mummy is getting worry that I'm a breech baby and may end up delivering by cesarean..

Dr says he can try to turn me in mummy's uteruse using a procedure called external cephalic version (ECV) in the week of 37..

External cephalic version has some risks, including the following:
- Premature labor
- Premature rupture of the membranes
- A small blood loss for either the baby or the mother
- Fetal distress leading to an emergency cesarean delivery
- The baby might turn back to the breech position after the external cephalic version is done

We are very grateful that Dr Paul is very experience.. He provide suggestion for us to help move me during the next 2 weeks..

1) Lie on your back, with your bottom away from the wall. Place the feet high on the wall, and using it for support, lift your hips high. Have pillows or a firmly rolled towel ready to slip behind your back for support. Your hips need to be higher than your shoulders.



2) An alternative is to adopt a "knee-chest" position, with your bottom high in the air and your head and chest on the floor.



But both suggestion cannot last too long as mummy will be exhausted..

So he suggest to raise the leg of the bed.. mummy will sleep 8 hours in this position over the next two weeks..



The bed was raised by approx 5 inches from ground..

Our conclusion.. my head is small so there is no pressure to drop to vertex position.. but hor, daddy got a big head leh..

Mummy is praying that gorgeous will turn from breech position to vertex position.. please don't be like your daddy.. daddy was borned with buttock first :(

I'm 34 Weeks Old

Mummy finally got me a cap.. from Kiddy Palace at S$4.90..

Baby Wipes

Daddy and mummy went to Parkway Parade for more shopping.. wanted to buy wipes and bath tub.. but the bath tub that daddy prefer is a last piece..

We managed to get the pigeon wipe.. 1 box of wipe (S$7.90) + 82 X 6 refills pack (S$19.50).. total 574 wipes!!!! Mummy says it'll wipe my butt.. cause can't use toilet paper.. too rough and my butt will open "flower"..

2009 Lunar New Year

We spent 6D/5N at daddy's kampung and celebrate the Lunar New Year with our relatives.. great grandma, grandma, grandpa, grand aunt, grand uncle, aunty, uncle and cousins.. It is always so crowded and fun during Lunar New Year cause everyone will be back.. we even have our own firework every year..



On the 29th nite, we went to restuarant to have 盆菜.. and buffet on the 30th nite at Great grandma's place.. Grandma also cooked many nutritious foods for us.. bean curb barley with lotus and 湯圓, 六味水, mushroom with sea cucumber, dumpling soup, chicken soup, vinegar pork knuckle and wine chicken..



My 3 cousins.. Angel, Eason and Chong Chong.. who love to knock on our door and wake us up every morning..

Grandma prepared so many stuff for my arrival in March 2009.. Ghee Hiang sesame oil, homemade wine, medicated oil.. and also herbal bath & pyjama with front opening for mummy.. Daddy brought a tub for my bottles and Uncle Sheng has help to buy another 3 bots of Ghee Hiang's sesame oil.. It is all the way from Penang.. so now we are overloaded with sesame oil..

My 7th Appointment

I'm 32 weeks old.. no wonder mummy is starting to feel huge cause it's crowded in there! Mummy now weight 49.3kg.. she has gained around 6.7kg since pregnant.. and she will be gaining around 500g/ 1lb a week now and roughly half of that goes right to me.. In fact, I weight 1820g today.. Mummy just hope that I'll get plumper and look healthier..

I'm a 土 牛

Year 2009 is a Chinese Brown Earth (Soil) Cow Year so I'm a 土 牛!

Mummy is worry that my life will be very tough as I need to go to the padding field to work..

My 6th Appointment

I'm 28 weeks old.. today daddy and mummy hear my heart beat at 140 and weights 1076 grams.. I'm growing. Mummy is less worry now if I'm going to be small as she read the baby centre of the fetal development.. and it says I should weights nearly 2.3 pounds or a little over 1 kg.

Next appointment is after Chinese New Year.. and then it will be every two weeks once till EDD :)

Gift from Aunty Mavis

Aunty Mavis had been very eager over my arrival.. She has asked her hubby's cousin to buy D.O.M for mummy.. Mummy is very grateful :) Thank you Aunty Mavis..

& I'm very happy that I get to see Chelsea jie jie.. although she was asleep but she look very sweet and fair..

Shopping spree for Gorgeous.. Mummy was told by the Robinson's promotor that there will be a member sales on the Graco Pack n Play @ Playyard on 25 & 26 Dec.. so last night, daddy & mummy went to Robinson Centre point to pick up my playpen..

It come with a playpen mat cover and infant pillow cover but daddy still get another set of playpen mat cover "Cute Winnie-the-Pooh" design at S$32.50 for me.. so I can change it if I pee on it *Shy*.. This will match my newborn pillow cover case :) Babysafe product is made of 100% natural latex, is safe for respiratory system and provide good support..



Next, we still need to get a Philips Avent ISIS IQ UNO Electronics Breast Pump which we saw from the papers today that Takashimaya is selling at S$279 with lots of freebie..

Mummy is sick

Yesterday afternoon, mummy went to Hyatt - Strait Kitchen for lunch.. after the lunch, she was feeling a bit uncomfortable.. not sure if it is the food or the air-con in office..

When mummy reach home, she feel very cold.. so she immediately doubled boiled the Korean red ginseng for 2 hours and take it.. She thought that this could give her energy and reduce the coldness in her body but last night mummy was having a bad night.. she wake up for 4 times and so did me..

And this morning, mummy sneeze out thick yellowish with blood stain.. daddy think the Korean red ginseng is too heaty for mummy and she should stop taking that.. Lucky daddy is smart otherwise mummy was still thinking of making it with hot water and drink for a second round before she throw the ginseng away..

Mummy will make some barley water for me today..

Handkerchief

Hooray is Sunday and Mummy can sleep late.. I've been waking up early on weekday because mummy need to go work.. but today even when I wake up.. mummy still refuse to wake up.. Daddy was even worst.. he slept till almost lunch..

We went for brunch at Hougang.. Daddy ordered braised pork knuckles which has collegen for me.. Mummy enjoyed it but she still want a Mcdonald ice-cream cone after meal.. Mummy says that the ice-cream is make of milk and full of calcium for me.. of cos daddy will buy it for me :)

We did some shopping at Hougang Mall and daddy buy me half dozen of handkerchief at S$2.50..


Mummy saw the same thing selling at IMM children store 3 pcs for S$1.90..

Bodysuit

Daddy & Mummy went to Outram for dinner.. follow by shopping at Harbourfront & Vivo City's mothercare.. Daddy buy bodysuit for me :)

There are sleeveless and short sleeve for 3-6 months and 6-9 months old.. After discount, average price is around S$5.90 per pc.

Visit to Grandpa & Grandma's Place

I spent 3 days/2nights over at grandpa and grandma place.. I visited great grandma, grand uncle, grand aunty, uncle, aunty & cousins.. oh! and also attended 4th grand uncle 60th birthday.. I'm so happy.. everyone is so excited over my arrival.. 7th grand aunty keep rubbing me.. and they keep feeding mummy with foods.

Daddy, mummy, grandma and grand aunty bring me go shopping.. daddy paid for all these..
1) Mamy Poko for new born-5kg
2) Mamy Poko for 3-8kg
3) 4 sets of mittens and bootees
4) pureen powder to be share with daddy (it is daddy's fave smell)
5) baby mat for me to change my diaper
6) Nappy liners (200 sheets) because Uncle Ah Ling says baby pass motion like bird :(

8) Cloth Nappy.. cause grandma says she worry I use too many diapers and my butt will get rashes.
9) Cotton wool... for what, mummy is not sure yet but grandma says we will need it.. maybe to clean my belly button

12) Diaper short x 1.. to wear when I go out

Mummy is so proud that they got 4 short sleeve top + 2 long sleeve top + 4 long pants at S$8.75.. haha!! :) I'll wear these at home so it is going to be just plain white.. there is not short for me?! Cause grandma says at home.. I will wear cloth diaper or mamy poko so no need to wear short *SHY* :P

On the last day, grandma cooked wine chicken, steam egg tofu, veg and chicken soup for mummy.. she says mummy must eat healthy foods as baby need nutritious.. The wine chicken smell so good that mummy can smell it even on the second floor.. Grandpa and daddy eat the wine chicken and got nagged by grandma.. cause this is for pregnant woman.. normal people drink wine soup can get too heaty..



Wine Chicken with fungus and lots of sesame oil, wine and ginger.. it goes very well with rice *yummy*

Mummy can't finish so she pack it and had it for dinner the next day.. Grandma also buy lot of fruits for daddy & mummy to bring home..

Thermo Pot

Grandpa use his petroleum point to redeem this Elba thermo pot for me.. it can contain 5 litres of water.. Grandma helped to wash it.. so it is now clean clean..

My 5th Appointment

Mummy throw out all the foods at 1am on Friday morning and she was so unwell that she didn't have appetite for food on Friday.. She lost 1 kg over night.. so she was eager to see me today at the clinic.. Mummy's blood pressure is ok.. and she now weight 46.2kg.. but she believe she can put it back easily as I'm really growing fast now..

The gynae let daddy and mummy listen to my heart beat and daddy can imitate it very well.. hehe!! I'm now position with head on top and weighted 700 gm... and the doc think I'm doing good.

Next appointment is on 03 Jan 2009.. soon I will be out.

I'm 24 weeks old

I'm 24 weeks old.. I still has a little body fat and skin is thin and fragile but I'm now well proportioned.. My brain is growing rapidly and I'm starting to fill the space in mummy's uterus.. from crown to heel I could measure 11.8 inches/30 cm..

Mummy will be visiting the gynae tomorrow and she is very excited to see me after almost 5 weeks..

Mummy is calling for help!!! Cause she is worry that I'll become nameless baby.. She has been talking to daddy about my name.. but daddy being a strange person.. provide all sort of "strange" names that mummy can never agree..

Credit Card Bill

Daddy’s credit card bill is here and mummy says almost 80% of the charges belong to me.. sigh! This remind her that she need to do up an excel sheet on how much I owe her..

Mummy is considering if the 3 liang bird nest that she got should go under my account too :(

My Strange Daddy

Mummy says that daddy is behaving very strange recently..

Over the weekend, daddy & mummy went to Sitec @ Singapore Expo.. daddy was looking at the S10 ideapad.. mummy initially told daddy that she wanted pink because it was out of stock.. Daddy went to tell the sales rep that he must have pink color so the sales rep rush to the back to check.. Mummy asked daddy, you sure you want pink? And daddy says yes.. I can use it with my pink water bottle -_-

For that weekend, mummy calculated that daddy actually says he love me twice.. Mummy recalled daddy probably says such mushy word no more than 5 times over the past 13 years..

On Monday, daddy stared at me and says “chubby, chubby.. you faster come out ok?”.. again mummy feel that daddy is strange!!

Last night daddy play with his new S10 ideapad and the thermometer on the bed.. he use the thermometer to measure the temperature of the various part of the netbook.. then he scream “OMG! This fellow is having high fever!” -_-

When daddy go to bath, mummy asked him to take his toy (thermometer and netbook) away then daddy told mummy that baby is no 1 and mummy is now no 2..

Bird Nest

Mummy make bird nest for me on Sunday.. This is the first time mummy making bird nest as she never eat such stuff.. She is wondering if she has double-boiled it correctly.. cause it look like those can drink bird nest with jelly.. haha!! :)



As she eat, she was grumbling that she prefer shark fin than bird nest.. Mummy just eat lah.. is good for me! :)

Singapore Expo

Mummy sms daddy today that John Little's sale at Singapore Expo till 08 Dec.. We go there this weekend, ok?

Daddy's reply.. of coz. PC show is there also..

Wow.. daddy going to buy PC for me liao :)

Nanny

Pros:-

* If found through a good agency with pool of nannies are educated in child development, have CPR training and can pass through background check that would be advantage

* Pick up time is more negotiable

* 1-1 service can provide more care, time and attention to the baby

Cons:-
* Might not support baby’s development if nanny is not well educated

* Nanny may not be available due to illness, vacations, family emergency and can quit without notice

* Nanny usually unsupervised and unregulated

* Cannot enjoy government subsidy (cost: S$550-$600 + solid foods additional S$50-S$80)

Infant Care Services

Pros:-
* In a quality child care situation, baby will learn that there are many people who take care of her. Baby is stimulated by seeing other babies and get used to sleeping in a not so quiet environment.

* Regulated by policies, procedures, and licensing standard and are supervised by well educated, experience administrators to make sure all criteria are met on a daily basis

* Daycare program also offer parent education meetings and other opportunities for parents to socialize with each other

* Pick up time as we might not be able to make it to the centre by 7pm

Mummy called up two infant care centres and a nanny agency.. She want to check out the infant care service environment.. as for the nanny agency, the agency is confident that they will be able to match me with a nanny so we only need to contact them 1.5 months before the starting date of service.. Mummy is happy to talk with both the centre and agency.. and seem like it is going to be an easy task..

Where am I going?

Daddy and mummy discussed on whether they should put me in infant care centre or nanny after mummy's maternity leave :(

There are many pros & cons on infant care and nanny... many worries for daddy & mummy.. My hero daddy says if put gorgeous in infant care.. they should try to put near his work place so he will send and pick me up before the centre close.. I also don't quite trust mummy's rubber timing.. if mummy pick up, maybe I will end up outside the infant care centre :)

Mummy is working out a pros & cons list and also the charges.

Baby Gorgeous's 1st New Clothes

Last Sunday, mummy went to "JNG" mummy's place to pick up some "donation" for me from my two little handsome cousins. Now I finally start to have some clothes and mummy clean up two drawers to put my stuff.. that cabinet got 6 levels but mummy is only willing to give up two for me.. sob! sob! Mummy, you have 3 drawers of bags.. Can you please give up 1 or 2 more drawers for your little gorgeous?? My stuff will get more and more.. and I need space..

After visiting my cousins, daddy, mummy and Tina gu-gu went to Causeway point for lunch and shopping.. We spent sometime in Mothercare but mummy told daddy that she is doing homework and will not buy me any stuff now.. She has a 15% voucher.. She need to do market survey on the pricing from kiddy palace, taka, robinson, john little etc before deciding what to buy and whom to buy from.. The sales girl was so nice to show us all the newborn stuff but mummy just don't want to buy.. Even when daddy commented that the pack of 7 bodysuit at S$57.. buy 3 get 20% off is a good deal and the quality is good.. Mummy’s ear seem to be shut off..

We also shop around metro & kiddy palace.. this place is like heaven.. so many kiddy stuff.. Mummy told daddy that next time they must portray an image of how scary the kiddy palace, toy r us and build-a-bear workshop to me.. so I won't go..

After window shopping, Tina gu-gu finally told mummy that there is a good buy at mothercare.. There is a pack of 2 top with bottom original price at $48 but now selling at $14.40.. so daddy says let go back and we can buy the 7 pcs bodysuit also..

When we are back there, mummy only want to buy that 2 top with bottom and she is getting the 3-6 months old size for me.. She says that the color for the 7 pcs bodysuit not so nice.. and we can go to mothercare in vivo city or centre point next week..

At night daddy suggested that we go to centre point for dinner.. so we went window shopping again.. this time, daddy & mummy saw more stuffs in Robinson but mummy says she must wait for Robinson's sales..

Daddy's Dream

Daddy is crazy over this Rainforest Melodies & Lights Deluxe Gym.. Mummy says if he like it.. he can sleep there and play with it himself.. Mummy is not going to buy this.. Can you image my daddy lying there? Probably a bit tight for him.. hehe! :)

Thermometer

Daddy brought me a thermo flash contactless medical electronics thermometer online at S$169.90. The thermo flash can read room temp and body temp..

Daddy & Mummy went to carrefour to buy grocery and they went to check out the different types of diapers for me..

Pamper for newborn 3kg-8kg at $26.85 for 58pcs and $18.05 for 36pcs

So many brands and some got sample and some don't.. so daddy says must find out the average price per pc... and get something good otherwise my butt will get rashes!!

I'm Growing

Mummy felt that her tummy is bloated overnight.. and she was so worry as her belly button is getting smaller.. she know that I'm getting bigger each day and that her belly button will be coming out soon.. the more she think of it.. she feel her tummy getting weak..

The most funny advise the two yiyi gave was.. Unique yiyi advise to draw a box on the belly button so that mummy don't wash that area.. and "JNG" mummy advise to beware of water going in cause baby might drink the soap.. erm.. what kind of yiyi do I have?

I'm Eating

Mummy is taking milk powder, cereal, DHA fish oil and vitamin.. she make sure she got enough nutrition and calcium..

Steam Sterilizer

Metro is having 20% sales.. daddy and mummy went to buy me the Philips Avent electric steam sterilizer.. Original price was S$171 now at S$136.80..

Daddy insisted that we buy the IQ 24 which will steriliser round the clock.. but mummy insisted that she don't need that function.. cause last time grandma only use hot water to sterilizer so why do we need to sterilize for 24 hours now? and even if daddy buy it.. mummy will not "on" the power for 24 hours.. so Mummy "WIN" this time..

Baby Pram & Car Seat

Daddy & mummy went to Bedok for breakfast this morning.. then daddy says he feel like eating roasted duck for dinner.. so they went to Kaki Bukit.. daddy drove passed Baby Hyper store and Baby Kingdom so suggested that we go see see look look..

Daddy and mummy were trying out the Quinny Buzz but the size is so big and expensive.. my stingy parent didn't want to spend so much but most important after packing the pram.. it is so huge that daddy's small car boot space will all be taken up.. no space for his amp.. hehe :)

So they continue to roam around and set their target now on Quinny Zapp.. which is smaller and cheaper.. hehe!! :) Then daddy set his eye on this Quinny Zapp Magic Mosaic Topline.. it is on sales.. Original price was at S$598 and now selling at S$388.. According to the salesman, Quinny produce a topline product every year.. it is like a "limited edition".. so since the year is ending soon.. and next year, Quinny will roll out the new Quinny 2009 so this "topline" is going on sales now.. Mummy and daddy didn't mind the colour as they wanted to buy something that is neutral colour (except pink or blue).. and something that is not so easily dirty so this pram fits their budget and choice.. but my dear mummy was still thinking.. maybe we should consider.. hmm.. really "meow".. luckily daddy was more firmed.. so I kicked mummy's tummy to signal that I want it.. hehe :)

Daddy also wanted to get the maxi cosi car seat for me.. so I can travel in style while going back to daddy's kampung.. actually I need that cos I don't trust mummy to carry me on hand through out the long journey.. mummy will fall asleep when she travel and probably drop me.. The maxi cosi CabrioFix Topline also on sales.. Original price was at S$398 and now selling at S$238.. and is a black with orange colour trim.. very nice.. the orange is daddy's fave colour.. just like daddy car..

This maxi cosi car seat also fit into my pram.. can carry me from car to pram and from pram to house.. in case I fall asleep.. they don't need to disturb my beauty sleep..

Total damage: S$626... vs. original price S$996.. + we got a free Quinny shopping basket worth S$49..

Spot the different.. my Quinny logo is "red" instead of the usual "black".. it also come with a travel bag, rain cover, shopping basket.. The Maxi Cosi car seat come with an integrated sun canopy..

After my shopping, daddy and mummy proceed to buy the roasted duck and bring half of it to grandma's place..

I'm 20 weeks old

I'm putting on weight now and has turned into a slippery little thing - a greasy white substance called vermix caseosa coats the entire body to protect my skin during its long subermersion in amniotic fluid. It also eases delivery. I'm practicing my digestive system. Mummy need to take in enough iron as I need it to make red blood cells.. Mummy remember to eat more lean red meats, poultry, fish, spinach, cereals..

My 4th Appointment - It's A Girl

Today Mummy is going to do a detail scan.. Radiography Angelia says that I'm very active.. I was rolling and turning in mummy's tummy but she find me very cute.. The scan consists of anomaly scan, fetal anatomy and it will also reveal my gender.. I was turning thus it is difficult to see my gender.. so finally I stay good for a sec.. and I'm a girl.. I'm now 19cm long and weight approx 300 gm.. Daddy and Mummy say they don't care about the gender as long as I'm a healthy baby..

The radiography show daddy& mummy my face feature.. they saw my eye, nose, mouth... I'm a bit chubby (look like daddy mah!) with a sharp cheek.. I look very girl girl.. hehe :)

After the scan, daddy and mummy went to see Dr Paul.. the result was explained.. it was good except there is a minor worry.. I've an echogenic bowel of 1.7 X 0.7 cm.. "shinning butt".. Doctor asked mummy not too worry and they will monitor the situation.. hopefully is harmless.

I'm 16 weeks old

Today I'm 16 weeks old.. about the size of an avocado but in the next 3 weeks, I'll go through a tremendous growth spurt doubling my weight and increase in length.. Now my toy is playing with the umbilical cord and practising breathing.. Mummy is very delighted as she has passed the 1st 3 months of critical period.. Hooray!!

My 3rd Appointment

My 3rd appointment.. Mummy put on 0.5kg from initial 42.6kg to 43.1kg.. Dr Paul Tseng run through the Oscar test result with daddy and mummy... The test provide finding on measurement of my size, the estimated risk for trismony, Hep B, HIV antibody, STD screen and Hsematology.. The result is GOOD..

Daddy will insisted on doing ultra-scan.. my daddy really miss me.. And I'm growing.. they even hear my heart beat.. which was fast and loud.. Doctor prescribed the vitamin for me..

My 2nd Appointment - Oscar and Blood Test

My 2nd appointment with the handsome gynae.. daddy and mummy went to Thomson at 8am cause we need to do the Oscar test today and the appointment is full.. Mummy need to join without queue.. 1st, mummy went to do blood test.. I'm so proud of mummy as she will usually scream like hell when she see needle.. Mummy is so brave that she didn't even ask daddy to hold her..

After the blood test, they went to 4th floor for ultra scan.. Lucky we were early and went straight to the room after waiting for less than 10 mins.. the radiography lady is very nice and she says that I'm still sleeping so it was an easy work for her.. she even printed an image of me for daddy and mummy..

My 1st Appointment

Daddy surf the net and found a gynae for my lazy mummy.. Dr Paul Tseng at Thomson.. He has excellent rating in the forum.. So after my nagging from daddy, mummy finally make the appointment.. Mummy's first contact with the nurses on the phone, she was already impressed.. they are very nice people..

My 1st appointment with Dr Paul Tseng.. He did an ultra scan and show them what I look like.. I'm still so small.. but I'll be growing fast over the next few months.. I was prescribed with folic acid..

After the visit, mummy went to the loo and she bleeding.. fresh blood.. Mummy was so shocked as the bleed drip and she scream "SHIT".. Daddy was shocked and lucky doctor was leaving.. daddy quickly grab hold of him and tell him.. Doc advised to monitor on the situation and mummy was really tired.. reach home and she quickly lie on the bed to rest..
